After centrifugation, a SAFECAP® tube is loaded into the SAFEPETTE® dispenser. The plunger is then depressed to move the self-sealing plug, which acts as a piston.
This eliminates the hazardous practice of scoring and snapping blood-filled tubes and the associated risk of exposure to potentially life-threatening blood-borne pathogens.
